1-GENERAL PRESENTATION
Alliance courses are fun and effective! We use a highly communicative method with a minimum use of English in the classroom. Our goal is to encourage students to think in French right from the very start. Teachers are native, or near-native, French speakers.
Maximum class size is ten. A minimum of six students is required to constitute a class. An existing class of four or five may continue if students agree to decrease the number of classes. For some classes late enrolment may be permitted.
Please be aware that some classes fill quickly, so to assure a place, you should make payment early.
Twice a year the Alliance organizes a very popular all day French immersion program (Journée tout en français) when not a word of English is spoken!
The last one was held on Saturday April 26th. Stay tuned for more info on our next Journée tout en français this fall!

3- TUITION FEES
-Language & Special Interest classes / 10 weeks
Continuing Students: $145 ($270 for couple or 2 classes). After 6/23/08: $155 ($280 for couple or 2 classes).
Others: $165 ($310 for couple or 2 classes). After 6/23/08: $175 ($330 for couples or 2 classes).
-For special interest classes and shorter sessions - prices vary, see schedule of classes for more details
-Private instruction is available at $42 per hour, $48 for two people.
Additional cost for books and/or hand-out materials in some courses.
If you are not already an Alliance member, please add $20 annual.

Kids Summer Camp
Songs, games, arts and crafts, cartoons,
role-playing, drawing, stories...
Les Grands (8 to 12 years old): Tuesdays and Thursdays - June 24th to July 17th - 3:30pm to 5:30pm
Les Petits (4 to 7 years old): Tuesdays and Thursdays - June 24th to July 17th - 1pm t0 3pm
2 weeks: 1 child $ 85, 2 or more children $ 75 per child.
4 weeks: 1 child $ 150, 2 or more children $ 140 per child.

To benefit from the "2 children" price, two children from the same family should be enrolled, not necessarily in the same class.
1-FRENCH FOR TODDLERS - LES BAMBINS
15 months to 3 years
1 class of 1 hour every week.This program is designed to give the children a general exposure to the French language, in a weekly one hour immersion class with their mom or dad. Games, songs, stories.
There is no session at this time!
TUITION
$ 90 ($150 for 2 children in the Bambins class) Returning students: $ 80 ($130 for 2 children in the Bambins class)
2-CLASSES FOR CHILDREN - LES PETITS
3 1/2 to 5 years (some knowledge of French preferable)
2 classes of 1 hour every week.
This program is designed to expose children to French and to give them basic communicative skills. The children will develop some understanding of the French language through songs, games, stories, and cartoons.
Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 to 4:30pm - Alliance Française de Sacramento
TUITION
$195 (one child) $360 (for 2 children) Returning students: $175 ($320 for 2)

3-CLASSES FOR CHILDREN - LES GRANDS
5 to 8 years (with some prior knowledge of French)
2 classes of 1 hour every week. This program is designed to develop children's communicative skills in French and give them the confidence to use the language in practical situation. The students engage in activities that encourage them to speak French: games, role-playing, songs, etc… Small class size ensures that each child receives maximum individual attention.
Tuesday and Thursday 4:45pm to 5:45pm -

4-CLASSES FOR CHILDREN - LES PLUS GRANDS
8 to 11 years (with some prior knowledge of French)
1 class of 1 hour 1/2 every week. To increase the children’s communicative skills in French and enable them to start reading and writing in French.
The students will be introduced to new vocabulary and new grammar points through practical situations. “Alex and Zoe” II and III textbooks are used in the classroom.
Some homework will be assigned every week. Small class size ensures that each child receives maximum individual attention.
Monday 4:30pm to 6pm - Alliance Française de Sacramento
TUITION
$150 (one child) $175 (for 2 children) Returning students: $130.

Refund policy for all classes:
If the class you choose is full or if the Alliance Française must cancel a class because of insufficient enrollment, we will contact you about registering in another course. We will give you a full refund if you do not select an alternative.
If you register in a class and drop it before classes start, your registration fee will be refunded, minus a $15 administrative fee.
After the first class meeting, there will be no refund if you decide to drop the class.
